Who does what, by when, for the four-market pass through Friday 21 November. Written for people who will send or read this outside the research team. Click any circle for the step detail; tick steps in the checklist below the chart.
How information moves. Som gathers facts from public sources and labels each claim so guesses are never treated as facts. Every Tuesday and Thursday Som sends a short update. Questions that only Cosmic can answer go to Keli, who routes them to Jared or Jonathan. When answers return, Som puts them into the briefs the same day. Som does not invent product claims. One market is studied in depth at a time; data centres come first. The other three get shorter notes after the data-centre pack is frozen. Shared Drive folder · Folder index.

Set-up and routingSom prepares the papers. Keli routes Cosmic-only questions; she does not do the research herself. Confirm the calendar and first buyer type early so the rest of the work does not aim at the wrong meeting.
F0 Keep this timetable and the plan notes current
Update dates, status and owners when reality changes. Everyone should be looking at one record. Done when the live page matches the week’s actual work.
F1 One-page list of Cosmic-only questions for Keli
Product and cost questions only Jared or Jonathan can answer, plus five Mark items. Done when Keli has the Google Doc and has sent items 1–12 on. File: Questions only Cosmic can answer — F1 (3 Nov 2026).
Draft ready — send by Thu 5 NovTue 3 Nov → Thu 5 Nov

F3 Confirm calendar and first buyer type with Keli
Ask Keli to confirm Tuesday / Thursday check-ins through Friday 21 November, and whether Mark’s first data-centre conversation is with a builder, an operator / colo landlord, or a hyperscaler. Done when both answers are in writing.
Three buckets: public (we can research), paid reports (buy or skip on purpose), Cosmic-only (blocked until answers return). Done each check-in when closed items are marked and stale claims are cut.
F4 Decide with Keli: buy or skip paid analyst reports
Gartner / IDC-style spend sizing is optional for the preliminary. Done when Keli says buy, skip, or defer — so we do not wait on a paywall to ship Mark’s pack.
The Mark-facing viability note (can-say / cannot-say) stays current when Cosmic answers or public prices move. Done when each check-in either notes “no change” or ships a dated delta.
Data centres — deep pass (first market)Working assumption until Mark says otherwise: facility operators and colo landlords (space, power, cooling). Builders already have Palantir in the mix. Hyperscalers already run a lot of private AI. Mark-ready freeze: Tuesday 10 November.
D1a Name the site monitoring stacks already in the facility
Power, cooling and building systems operators already buy (for example Schneider, Vertiv, Siemens, Eaton). Purpose: Cosmic sits beside these tools, not instead of them. Done when each named product has a public source URL.
First pass done — finish table by Thu 5Tue 3 Nov → Thu 5 Nov
Som
D1b Name the ticket and ops tools Cosmic would sit beside
IT and facility ticket systems used in colo and operator environments. Done when the enhance-not-replace table lists monitoring + tickets in one place Mark can skim.
D2a What Equinix and Digital Realty already say in public about AI
Record their public claims on interconnect helpers, site control and similar so we do not pitch into a vacuum. Done when claims are logged with URLs and dated.
Widen beyond Equinix and Digital Realty (for example CyrusOne, Vantage, and similar). Done when at least three more landlord pages are logged or marked “nothing public found” with the date checked.
Simple workload map for the operator / colo buyer: which jobs look like search-and-summarise, which look like agents, which need sensors or images. Done when Mark can see where a mostly-local story fits on paper.
D3b Palantir Pulse on a named data-centre job — re-check
McCarthy builds data centres and uses Pulse, but public write-ups may not name those jobs. Done when the brief either cites a named job or keeps the clear line “not found in public sources as of [date].”
D3c Short note: why hyperscalers are a harder first pitch
One short paragraph for Mark: hyperscalers already run large private AI programmes, so a sovereignty / local story has less room. Done when that paragraph sits in the brief under “buyer types.”
Same fields every market uses: who pays and which jobs; what data stays private; published vs likely real prices; local-vs-public cost picture (scenarios only); why on-site matters; where Cosmic might help without inventing product; which tools to sit beside; open questions. Done when all eight fields have content or an explicit “blocked — Cosmic” note.
D4b Freeze Mark’s speaking points (can say / must not say)
A short list Mark can take into a meeting. No Cosmic savings %, Relativity claims, air-gap claims or margin claims until Jared / Jonathan answer. Done when the freeze is dated and not edited further without a new date stamp.
Cost scenarios (illustrative only)These numbers are teaching examples so nobody quotes a guess as Cosmic’s measured result. Replace with Cosmic costs only when Jared / Jonathan provide them.
E1a Build the small / medium / large usage scenario sheet
Three daily-usage bands. For each: all work on a public model vs mostly local. Label every cell as a scenario. Done when Mark can read the sheet without mistaking it for Cosmic performance.
E1b Write the rule: when expensive public models still win
Plain rule for when a hard job should still go to a large public model, and when cheaper local work is enough on paper. Done when the rule sits next to the scenario sheet.
Other three markets — lighter notesStart only after the data-centre freeze. Same eight fields, less depth. Utilities by Thursday 12 November; manufacturing by Tuesday 17 November; telecom by Thursday 19 November.
V1a Utilities — public case studies and compliance pressure
Outage narrative, work orders, customer ops case studies with primary URLs. High-level note on why some grid data cannot sit in a public model (not legal advice). Done when sources are filed and labelled.
What stays at the machine (vision, uptime) vs what sits in planning systems. Name platforms Cosmic would sit beside, not replace. Done when enhance targets have public product pages.
Public operator use cases (network centre helpers, ticket triage) plus why subscriber data often blocks a public-model path. Done when both the use-case list and the privacy map have primary sources.
Lighter brief for network operations and device signals. Done when the skeleton is complete and the third-week wrap can say all four markets were touched.
Cosmic answers — intake onlyResearch does not invent product or cost facts. When Keli returns answers from Jared / Jonathan, Som files them the same day under a clear “Cosmic confirmed” label.
G1 File product and deployment answers the day they arrive
Relativity in plain words, which models run what, local-first vs public-first, ledger status, on-site / air-gap status, quality tests. Done when each answered item is copied into the briefs with date and source person.
G2 File cost and commercial answers the day they arrive
Fully loaded local cost, public-model pass-through and markup, margin scope, Pike $1.4M sizing, Assurant / BAIT status, staffing per trial and live account. Done when scenario cells that depended on guesses are either updated or still clearly labelled as scenarios.
Check-ins and packsEvery Tuesday and Thursday: what changed since last time, or a named blocker. Third-week wrap Thursday 19 November. Clean close Friday 21 November.
P1 Tuesday and Thursday check-in packs
Each pack: what changed, open questions, what Mark may say vs what still needs Cosmic proof. Done when the pack is sent or posted by end of that day.
Freeze a dated pack and a short one-pager from approved speaking points only. After the meeting, capture Mark’s decision on first buyer type. Done when the post-meeting note is filed.
Waiting on meeting datebefore meeting → after meeting
Som
P3 Paid trial measurement plan (only if Mark opens one)
Before work starts: how success is measured (spend avoided, compute hours, quality, staff time) and a three-column worksheet (customer price / Cosmic cost / customer value). Done when exit criteria are written down.
Waiting — only if openedwhen opened → before trial work
Som
P4 Third-week wrap and archive
Thursday 19: verdict across four markets, what is still blocked inside Cosmic, what Mark can take forward. Friday 21: archive stale claims and freeze the November folder. Done when the archive note exists.
How to read the chart. The coloured bar is the window when the work runs. Each circle is a concrete step with a date. Green check = marked done (saved in this browser). Amber status = waiting on Keli, Mark, Jared or Jonathan. Grey groups at the bottom are packs and the close-out.
